Bunty makes a pancake

caught it

caught it

Today I have made pancakes, it was ease and fun. This is what I used

4oz/112g Plain Flour
2 Eggs
7fl oz/210 ml Milk
oil

I mixed the flour, eggs and milk together and left it to stand for 1 hour. 1 hour is a very long time to wait when you are excited. Then mommy heated a little oil in my pan and I poured the batter, (that’s what all the stuff mixed up is called), in and fried it. Mommy showed me how to toss the pancake in the air and catch it in the pan, she made it look so easy. My first pancake ended up on the floor, which made us all laugh but I got it right the second time.

can I have carrot with it?

can I have carrot with it?

Mommy said different people like different fillings on their pancakes, she likes berries and ice-cream, big brother likes lemon and sugar and daddy likes anything he can eat hee hee. Some people like honey or jam. I had lemon and sugar on mine like big brother

What do you like on your pancakes?

Bunty Bunny walks Baggeridge ridge

help the naughty wind has taken my hat

help the naughty wind has taken my hat

I have been on another adventure, I went back to Baggeridge to walk the ridge. I wasn’t quite sure what the ridge was, but lots of people have said it’s a nice walk. You can follow the route which takes you along roads, but I don’t like cars so I decided to just walk the pretty bits. I started at a place called Gospel common which was at the top of a hill and was all dug up; it looked like lots of my cousins had been playing there. But then I read a sign that said it was being regenerated and being made back into heath land, what ever that is! Then I had to walk along a track with a farm on one side and horses on the other side, I was going to talk to the horses but it was so windy it was blowing me along and it blew my hat off and I had to hop very fast to catch it. The wind was blowing my ears about and my scarf kept hitting me in the face. I was very glad when I came to the woody bit because the wind couldn’t get me in there.

just look at the roots

just look at the roots

In the woody bit the wind could only blow gently, but it did make the trees rub together and they may a squeaky sound. The first time I hear it I was quite scared, I thought it was a monster, but then when I saw it was just the trees I felt a bit silly. I had a climb on this tree that had fallen down and looked at the roots, they were all twisty

After a long walk I came back into Baggeridge Park not far from Himley Hall and as I wasn’t tired I walked to Himley. This time I went for a walk around the big pond, some people were sat by the side of the water with big sticks and bits of sting, I did wonder what they were doing, (and when I got home daddy told me they were fishing. I hope it doesn’t hurt the fish, it didn’t sound very nice).

I saw a tiny path heading into more woods and wondered if it went anywhere special. It looked like an easy path when I started but it got very steep very quickly and my little legs began to hurt, but it was too far to go back so I just carried on walking and saw some lovely old trees. After a long time I made it back to the started of my walk and when I looked at the big watch I had been walking for 3 hours!

That was hard!

That was hard!

My paws are sore but I had a lovely day.

You can see my other photos of my walk on the side bar.

Bunty goes to Baggeridge and Himley Hall

That was a lot of steps

That was a lot of steps

My next adventure was to Baggeridge Park, I really liked this place. There are lots of marked walks and lots of walks that shoot off the main paths. I started on a yellow route but then saw some steps, so I decided to go down these and see what was there. The steps were a bit bigger than I thought they would be and I had to have a little rest when I got to the bottom.
At the bottom of the steps were a couple of paths, one that was a path and one was a muddy trail, I thought it would be fun to take the muddy trail. The windy muddy trail went through some woodland with pretty sliver trees and lots of little birds, I could hear a wood pecker but I couldn’t see him.

Then I came to a very rocky patch, the rocks had moss on them which was very slippery, but I just had to have a little climb on them and I got my lovely new trousers dirty. After a very long walk I found I had walked in a big circle and was back where I had started!

I walked a little more along the yellow route and past lots of pools with ducks and other birds and very noisy sea gulls. When I came to the end of the walk I found a map that said a place called Himley Hall was just over the road. I wasn’t feeling tired so I decided to go and have a look. First I walked down a big path until I came to a great big lawn, I was so excited I ran and ran it was lovely to have so much space to run and hop in. I practiced my hopping for a while then went to look at the house. The house opens in April, so all I could do was walk around the outside, so I did that.

Posh house, it's very big

I was beginning to feel tired now and I still had a very long walk back to where mommy and daddy were going to pick me up, so I set off. The hills seemed a lot bigger on the way back, my little legs hurt and when I got home I was so tired I went to bed without my carrot!

Bunty goes to look at old trees

The pond still has ice on it

The pond is still has ice on it

For my next adventure I went to Pipershill and Dodderhill common. The pathways were very muddy because the trackers had churned up the ground; the people who look after the trees had been cutting some of the trees down so that the old trees could have more room. Some of the trees are 400 years old, that’s very old. They are all twisted and have fungi growing on them. There were lots of birds to, all singing and flying around, I think they were trying to find the best trees so they can start to build their nests and I could hear a woodpecker but couldn’t see him.

I found a big den with a sign outside that said café open, but that’s just silly, you couldn’t put a café in a den, could you? It didn’t have any tables or chairs.

Mud and trees

Mud and trees

I didn’t see anyone to have a chat with today it was very quiet; perhaps it was because it was very cold and muddy.

And then it was time to go home for a warm and a nice bowl of carrots.

Bunty make’s a Sculpture

If I cut here

If I cut here

One of my first adventures was to a place called Cannock Chase where I saw some sculptures. I wanted to have a go at making one but didn’t know what to make. Then I had an idea, I know a thing called Valentines Day is today and it has something to do with hearts, so I made a heart.

I drew the heart shape on the card; it’s very hard to draw that shape. Then I had to cut it out which was very hard too. I have hurt my paws! Tinkerbelle wasn’t around to help, so I had to do it all by myself. I then found a red ribbon in mommy’s bits and bobs box. I like the bits and bobs box it is full of shiny beads and coloured ribbons. I tried to tie the ribbon around the heart, but I am not very good at tying things. So I used some sticky tape, and I got in a mess with that. First I couldn’t find the end, then when I did and pulled some off it got stuck to my paws, then it got stuck to the wrong piece of the card and I had to pull it all off and start again. But I did it in the end.

Making a sculpture is hard work.

I think I need to work on it

Bunty does ‘UP’

I do enjoy joining in with this, this week we have to find ‘up’ pictures.

I once lay in the back garden looking up at the shapes in the clouds. I love the way the clouds look like they have been painted on top of each other in this photo.

Bunty learns something new

I was talking to big brother about my blog page, I have lots of photos I want to share, but the page looks all messy if I put too many on, so big brother asked why I didn’t set up a ‘FlickR account.’ Yes that’s a good idea I said, what is a FlickR account? Big brother explained it was a place I could join and I would have my own page there too. I could put on my photos and then decide who I wanted to look at them. What a lovely idea.

So big brother set up the account for me and showed me how to put on my photos, now I can share. You can find them on the right had side under My Photos, if you click on them they get bigger or you can watch a ‘slide show’ I like looking at them on ‘slide show’ the best. Don’t worry they don’t slide off the page. Mommy thought it was very funny when I was holding the computer really tight and I told her I didn’t want my photos sliding off the page when I was looking at them on slide show.
