Bunty goes to look at old trees

The pond is still has ice on it

For my next adventure I went to Pipershill and Dodderhill common. The pathways were very muddy because the trackers had churned up the ground; the people who look after the trees had been cutting some of the trees down so that the old trees could have more room. Some of the trees are 400 years old, that’s very old. They are all twisted and have fungi growing on them. There were lots of birds to, all singing and flying around, I think they were trying to find the best trees so they can start to build their nests and I could hear a woodpecker but couldn’t see him.

I found a big den with a sign outside that said café open, but that’s just silly, you couldn’t put a café in a den, could you? It didn’t have any tables or chairs.

I didn’t see anyone to have a chat with today it was very quiet; perhaps it was because it was very cold and muddy.

And then it was time to go home for a warm and a nice bowl of carrots.

Hi Bunty, carrot soup is a good way to warm your self up. Or maybe mommy could make you a nice cup of dandelion tea 🙂

Enjoy your next adventure 🙂 xxxxxx

    Hello Rach,

Yes dandelion tea would be nice, mommy lets the dandelions grow in the garden, she uses them in salads and pies in the summer, I shall ask her to make me tea when they grow again.
